Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some frequently asked questions about Healing, Reiki, Medical Intuition and Mediumship:

What is the difference between healing and cure?
  • Healing works on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual bodies of a person to restore balance by going to the root cause of an issue. A cure focuses on only the physical symptoms of an issue and not the root cause of an issue. If the root cause of an issue is not addressed and healed on all levels, then the physical manifestation of symptoms can return.

Where does the energy in a healing originate?
  • The energy is Divine energy from Source, also referred to as God or the Creator. The practitioner is simply a conduit for the energy to connect directly with the client.

Does one have to believe in the healing energy for it to work?
  • One does not need to believe in the healing energy to feel it's affects. A brief session can be given to someone, allowing them to judge for themselves. Belief has nothing to do with success or failure of a healing, however one must be willing to accept the energy. It is completely up to the client as to how much healing takes place. The Practitioner is simply the facilitator for a client's healing.

What is a healing crisis?
  • After a client receives a healing session or an attunement, they may experience what is known as a healing crisis. This experience may include mood swings, frequent bathroom visits, increased pain, or other physical changes as a result of the energy aiding the body to purge toxins and release. A healing crisis typically lasts for 1-3 days.

How does energy healing work?
  • The energy is pulled into your bio-energetic field (aka aura) by the immune system. Energetic blockages can occur in the field, leading to problems in the immune system, and eventually cause physical pain or illness. The energy helps to clear the blockages, relieve pain, and promote balance and health.

How does distant healing work?
  • Science has proven that everything is energy, therefore everything is connected. When you speak on the phone with a friend, you are not physically present. The energies of your voices are carried via technology that makes it seem as though you are directly connected. I don't understand the technology. Do you? It is similar with distant healing. An energetic connection is made between the Practitioner and the client receiving healing through the focused intention of the Practitioner. Once the connection is made, the healing occurs as though the session were in-person.

What is a Reiki healing technique?
  • All Reiki healing techniques have the following four qualities:
    • The ability to perform Reiki is passed via an attunement, rather than developing the healing ability over time through meditation and other exercises.
    • All Reiki techniques are part of a lineage, starting with the one who first discovered the technique and passed down from teacher to student.
    • Reiki energy is guided by the higher power and does not require that one guide the energy with the mind.
    • Reiki can do no harm.

Who can learn Reiki?
  • Anyone can learn Reiki. One does not need to have psychic skills or previous energy work.

Can Reiki be used for "self-healing"?
  • Yes. A Reiki I student receives four attunements, connecting them to the Reiki energy. They begin to feel warmth or tingling in their hands as a sign of the Reiki energy flow. During a Reiki I class, students learn the basic hand positions which can be used on both themselves and others. It is recommended that Reiki practitioners give themselves Reiki daily to maintain their own balance.

What is a Reiki share?
  • A Reiki share is when a group of Reiki Practitioners meet along with non-practitioners in a group setting. Non-practitioners receive healing for 20 min sessions from the Practitioners. Then Practitioners work on each other in order to practice giving and receiving Reiki.

What is a medical intuitive?
  • A medical intuitive is a Practitioner that uses intuitive abilities to get information directly from a client's physical and energetic bodies. The body knows exactly what is going on with a client, so the Practitioner taps into the energy of the client's body to assess healing needs.

What is energetic surgery?
  • Energetic surgery is similar to physical surgery in the fact that physical repair work is performed on an area of the body and the client must allow the body to integrate the repair work over a period of 3-7 days. Because we are made up of energy, a medical intuitive is able to use their intuition to assess physical damage in a client's body and then focus the energy on the specific repair work required to restore the physical body to wellness. A client may wish to receive energetic surgery on a knee, hip, vertebra or shoulder because of the non-invasive method of repair work compared to allopathic medicine. The choice is up to the client. They must understand that a recovery period is required, although much shorter with energetic repair, and agree to allow the body to heal and integrate the energetic work.

What is a medium?
  • A medium is a person who has the ability to be the connection between the physical and spiritual realms.

What are some of the types of mediumship?
  • Here are some common types of mediumship:
    • Psychography - A medium who channels written messages from spirit.
    • Communication - A medium who uses their body to communicate between the physical and spiritual realms. A person can be conscious while channeling which means they could filter the messages. A person can also be a full-trance or unconscious medium which means that the medium allows another spirit to incorporate in their body while they vacate so that the spirit can communicate directly via the medium's physical body.
    • Artist - A medium who goes into a trance and a spirit artist like Van Gogh or Monet take over the person's body and paint a new work of art that is later verified by experts to be in the style of the deceased artist but is not a known work.
